Training
It takes time to learn the concepts in the Allen Cognitive Disability Model of how the brain progressively processes information. Claudia Allen developed a supported learning approach for training occupational therapists that is used here. This approach combines intensive theoretical sessions with ongoing reflective case studies in study groups. Coaching and mentoring are also provided as part of the training. Current Training Opportunities
We now provide both in-person and online / remote training for the Allen Cognitive Disability Model, including the Allen Cognitive Levels.
This is an excellent opportunity for occupational therapists to learn the latest developments in the ACDM.
Training includes:
- Intensive training (2 x 3hrs) on the Allen Cognitive Disability Model and ACLS-6
- Connection to ongoing monthly study groups to continue learning the ACDM
- Access to mentoring and coaching support
- Claim from 6 to 20 CPD hours
